How to get to Ateneo Campus (and hotels) from NAIA Airports

Here are instructions on how to get to Ateneo Loyola Heights Campus from NAIA airports.

The Easy Way

You may install Grab before coming to the Philippines, book your car from your airport then pin your destination towards Ateneo or your accommodation. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND HAILING AN AIRPORT TAXI.

The Commuting Way

Airport to Train Stations

From NAIA Terminals 1, 2, or 4. From the arrival, go out to the airport road and look for a jeep/minibus with route Baltao/Quiapo. At the end of its route, you are required to transfer jeepneys; you have two options from here.

  1. You may ride the jeepney with route Sucat. The jeepney driver will drop you off at a U-Turn on the corner that connects Redemptorist Road and Taft Avenue Extension (see image below). At this U-Turn, on foot, turn right to Taft Avenue Extension and go straight ahead to Baclaran Station of LRT 1 (go to Train Stations to Ateneo)
  1. You may ride the jeepney with route EDSA/Heritage Hotel. At the end of the route, you will be asked to alight at Taft Station at MRT 3 (go to Train Stations to Ateneo).

From Terminal 3. You may either book a Grab car or hail a taxi (not recommended) to MRT 3 Taft Station. Note that hailing airport taxis is not recommended as some taxi operators take advantage when passengers are foreign nationals.

Train Stations to Ateneo

  1. From Baclaran Station of LRT 1, travel to Doroteo Jose station, then walk to LRT 2 Recto Station. From Recto Station, travel along LRT 2 to Katipunan Station.
  2. From Taft Station of MRT 3, travel to Cubao Station, then walk to LRT 2 Araneta Cubao Station through Gateway Mall. From Araneta Cubao Station, travel along LRT 2 to Katipunan Station.

Arriving at the station, proceed to the South Exit, go up using either the stairs or escalator, then walk ahead towards the intersection. After reaching the intersection, turn left and you should see a 7/11 stall with a line of tricycles waiting. You may ride one and then tell the driver where you want to be dropped off.
